To compliment Erdem's AW09 collection Charles Worthington created a fabulous new catwalk look - the 'Dolly Bun'.
Models’ heads were topped with a highly dishevelled chignon which was primed with mousse to give volume and texture, before being pulled into a ponytail directly on top of the head, backcombed to create static and twisted over into a bun. Follow the step by step guide below to recreate this season's playful catwalk look.
STEP 1 Firstly blow-dry the hair upside down, which is crucial to adding static and volume to hair. Then prime the dry hair by working through Salon Shine Results Volume Boosting Mousse.
STEP 2 Next put the hair into a high ponytail (using two thick headbands to give a high base for the bun to sit on) on top of the head.
STEP 3 Then backcomb the ponytail using a Conditioning Brush to add static, volume and texture.
STEP 4 To create the bun put your hand on the top of the ponytail and wrap the ponytail around your hand and secure in place with grips.
STEP 5 Once the hair is placed in the bun rub Salon Shine Results Max Hold Hairspray onto the palm of your hand and rotate your hand on the main section of the hair, below the bun to bring out static hairs.
STEP 6 Then dishevel slightly by pulling out random sections of the bun for a textured look. Finish with Salon Shine Results Shine All Over Glass Spray to give the hair a fresh look.
